Disciples' Generous Response - Mission Tithes
Throughout time, expressions of gratitude have been made by disciples of Jesus. Sometimes, people have looked at the sharing of our blessings as an obligation. Community of Christ, focuses on the whole continuum of blessings that we experience. The natural response to recognizing God's blessing is a genuine desire to respond in gratitude. Tithing becomes something that is a joyous response to the divine. It isn't just about our money. There is a recognition of our time, talents, and life experiences that led us to celebrate the blessings we have received.
"Tithing is a spiritual practice that demonstrates willingness to offer every dimension of one’s life to God."
—Doctrine and Covenants 165:2d

- One way stewardship is expressed is through the spiritual practice of tithing.
- Although tithing literally means a tenth, giving generously to one’s true capacity is the spirit of tithing.
- Tithing of time, talent, treasure, and testimony supports local and worldwide church ministries in pursuit of Jesus Christ’s mission.
- All disciples are called to live as faithful stewards who tithe.
We are called to share with others as generously as God has shared with us. The following six principles of a Disciples' Generous Response guide us in managing and sharing our resources:

While giving each Sunday during our worship services is a traditional and wonderful way to make our contributions, it is recognized that sometimes people aren't sitting in the pews. We all take vacations, travel, or get sick and it isn't always convenient. So, our International Headquarters utilizes a tool (application) that allows everyone to make contributions online. You can setup recurring contribution or one-time offerings. You can give to the World Church as well as to our local congregation. Please follow the link below to learn more or to make your contributions online, 24/7 any day. You will receive a receipt for your gifts.
